Junior outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings was among 42 players named to the preseason watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy on Monday.

The award is presented annually to a defensive player. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, and Tenacity. The award accounts for personal character and athletic excellence. It is presented by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation and named in honor of former Southern Cal All-American Ronnie Lott.

Jennings finished his redshirt sophomore season with 41 tackles, including six tackles for loss last season. He was injured in Alabama’s season opener against Florida State and missed two games, then was injured in the Sugar Bowl win against Clemson and didn’t play in the national championship game.
