Two Alabama players earned SEC Player of the Week honors: Jaylen Waddle for Freshman of the Week and Quinnen Williams as Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Seven players were recognized by the Alabama coaching staff after Saturday’s win as the school’s players of the week.

The sophomore completed 75 percent of his passes and averaged 18.9 yards per completion. Williams started at left tackle and graded out at a team-high 92 percent. He missed only one assignment on 59 sacked and made six knockdown blocks.

Defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and defensive back Deionte Thompson were chosen on the defense. Williams, a redshirt sophomore, made his first start at Alabama and recorded a pass breakup, a quarterback hurry and six tackles. Thompson, a junior, had an interception, three pass breakups and five tackles.
