The recruiting trail wasn’t as active for Alabama this past week, as the Crimson Tide traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, to face the Volunteers. Nonetheless, Alabama received a commitment from one prospect and extended an offer to another.

  • Alabama added a preferred walk-on commitment from 2019 safety Carson Ware on Wednesday. Ware, who goes to Muscle Shoals, isn’t the only player from his school currently committed to the Crimson Tide. Jackson Bratton, a 4-star 2020 inside linebacker, is already pledged to Alabama.

  • 5-star 2020 defensive end Desmond Evans announced via Twitter he received an offer from Alabama. The 6-foot-6, 238-pound prospect is currently ranked the No. 1 player in North Carolina and No. 2 weak-side defensive end in the country, according to 247Sports Composite. Ohio State also extended an offer to Evans this week, according to another one of his tweets.

  • Coveted Alabama target Marcus Banks de-committed from LSU on Tuesday. The 4-star 2019 cornerback had been pledged to the Tigers since June. Banks visited Tuscaloosa in September for Alabama’s victory over Texas A&M. The Houston, Texas, native also received a visit from UA defensive backs coach Karl Scott in early October, according to 247Sports.

Banks tweeted out this picture just a day after backing off LSU.
