Alabama received a commitment from 2020 defensive tackle Jah-Marien Latham of Pickens County on Monday morning. Latham made the announcement in a post on his Twitter account.

Latham’s coach, Michael Williams, is an Alabama alumni who played tight end for the Crimson Tide from 2008-13.
Latham is the eighth commitment for Alabama in the class of 2020 and its second defensive line commitment. He was unranked by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN as of Monday, but listed as 6-3 and 270 pounds. He also had offers from South Carolina and UAB.
Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class is ranked third nationally in its early stages, behind Miami and Ohio State.
