Many Alabama players have showed up on recent awards list, but now it’s a coach’s turn.

UA offensive coordinator Mike Locksley is a semifinalist for the 2018 Broyles Award, given to the best assistant coach nationally. There are 14 other coaches in the running. Five finalists will be invited to Little Rock, Arkansas, where the winner will announced Dec. 4.

This is Locksley’s first season as coordinator. He was the wide receivers coach last year and offensive analyst the year prior.

Locksley has led the Crimson Tide to more than 500 yards of total offense in 10 of its 11 games, marking the most in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
