Alabama had another strong week on the recruiting trail, picking up a commitment and making the top-six for another prized prospect.

  • Alabama added a commitment from 4-star 2019 inside linebacker Christian Harris, who was previously committed to Texas A&M. Harris announced his decision on Twitter last Friday, less than a week after he visited Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl. From Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Harris is currently ranked as the No. 9 inside linebacker in the country. The 6-foot-1, 239-pound prospect is Alabama’s 22nd commit in its top-ranked 2019 class.

  • 5-star 2020 defensive end Bryan Bresee listed Alabama in his top-six teams last Friday. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect visited Tuscaloosa earlier this season when Alabama hosted Missouri. Alabama will be competing with Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and others for Bresee’s commitment.

  • The Crimson Tide also made the cut for another 2020 5-star prospect, landing in linebacker Mekhail Sherman’s top seven. Sherman is listed as the No. 2 outside linebacker in the country and No. 1 player in Washington, D.C. The 6-foot-3, 234-pound prospect attends St. John’s College High School, the home of current Alabama running back commit Keilan Robinson.

Alabama’s commits took to Twitter to react to the Crimson Tide’s thrilling SEC championship win over Georgia:

  • 4-star 2020 defensive tackle Jayson Jones

  • 4-star 2019 safety DeMarcco Hellams

  • 4-star 2020 cornerback Malachi Moore

  • 4-star 2019 defensive end Justin Eboigbe
