Although Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa didn’t win the Heisman Trophy last Saturday night, the Crimson Tide won several recruiting battles over the weekend, flipping the commitments of two top-ranked recruits.
- Dax Hill, the No. 1 safety in the 2019 class, announced he’s flipping his commitment from Michigan to Alabama. The 5-star prospect from Tulsa, Oklahoma, had been committed to the Wolverines since September. The 6-foot, 186-pound prospect is No. 1 in Oklahoma and the No. 7 player overall.

- Less than two hours after Hill’s change, 4-star 2019 cornerback Jeffery Carter tweeted he would be de-committing from Texas A&M and pledging to Alabama. The 6-foot, 186-pound prospect is the No. 11 cornerback and No. 91 recruit overall. Carter, who had been committed to the Aggies since July, is the second Texas A&M commit Alabama has flipped in the past two weeks. The Crimson Tide landed a commitment from 4-star inside linebacker Christian Harris on Nov. 28.
