Committee member Larry Gautier says the Orange Bowl is all about hospitality. Therefore, it has planned a series of fan-friendly events in Miami for the College Football Playoff game between Alabama and Oklahoma.

On Dec. 28, the day before the game, there will be the annual AvMed Orange Bowl Coaches Luncheon, which fans can buy tickets for through the Orange Bowl Ticket Office. That’ll be from 11 a.m. ET to 1:30 p.m. ET. Then, from 4-11 p.m. ET, there will be the Capital One Beach Bash concert, where Walk the Moon will open and Dave Matthews Band will headline. Fans can get into this South Beach event for free with a Capital One card or game ticket.

Game day itself will have the Capital One Fan Fest outside Hard Rock Stadium starting at 3 p.m. ET. Gautier said there will be a Fan Zone for kids, multiple food options and world-class entertainment. There will also be the Savor Card Burger Battle, which will feature burgers from each team’s hometown.

Hard Rock Stadium’s gates will open to fans two hours before the 8 p.m. ET kickoff.

“The last time Alabama was here was 2013,” Gautier said. “Since then, Hard Rock Stadium has gone through $500 million worth of improvements. So they’re going to see a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium inside and outside.”

Just like Bryant-Denny Stadium, there will be metal detectors upon entry and a clear-bag policy in effect. Gautier also said alcohol will not be served inside Hard Rock Stadium.

Fans can go to orangebowl.org to track ticket availability.

“Miami is a great place to be in December,” Gautier said.

Hard Rock Stadium will host the 2021 CFP National Championship Game.
