Alabama added to its 2020 recruiting class on Thursday morning with a commitment from 3-star athlete De’Rickey Wright.
He is the second 2020 prospect to commit to Alabama in the last week, joining 3-star offensive tackle Seth McLaughlin. He jumped on board on Sunday afternoon.
Wright is currently ranked as the No. 25 athlete in his class and the No. 19 prospect from in the state of Alabama.
The Attalla native announced his pledge to the Crimson Tide via Twitter.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect becomes the 14th player and first athlete to join Alabama’s top-ranked 2020 class.
Since Wright is such a versatile player, it has not been determined what position he will settle into in college. Several schools recruited him as a safety or linebacker while others projected him to play tight end or wide receiver.
Wright’s recruitment has heated up in the past month and the prospect recently visited Virginia and Clemson. Wright committed to Alabama while also holding offers from Tennessee, LSU and Mississippi State.
