Alabama football lost its second in-state commitment in just over a week.

Four-star player Dazalin Worsham announced Tuesday via Twitter he won’t play for the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot, 185 receiver from Hewitt-Trussville is the 11th-ranked player in the state and the 48th-ranked receiver in the nation, according to He committed to Alabama in April of 2018. He recently made a visit to the University of Miami.


De’Rickey Wright, a three-star athlete from Gadsden, de-committed from the Crimson Tide on June 17. The 6-4, 220  then announced his commitment to Ole Miss a few days later.

Alabama has 20 commitments for the 2020 class with seven from in-state.

The most recent commitment came Sunday from Olive Branch, Mississippi’s Xavier Hill, a three-star offensive guard who is 6-3 and 325 pounds. He’s the 10th-ranked player in Mississippi and the 27th-ranked lineman, according to
