There are some major changes to the usual SEC schedule routine for Alabama football in 2020.

In addition to a rotating game against SEC East Power Georgia at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Alabama will face Mississippi State in mid-October instead of the usual November date. Also, the Crimson Tide will host Texas A&M on November 21, just one week before the Alabama-Auburn game. Alabama has recently scheduled a non-conference opponent during that week. Auburn will play SEC West Division rival LSU on the Nov. 21 date

The Southeastern Conference today announced the football schedules for all 14 SEC schools for the 2020 season.

With 13 playing weekends, the 2020 schedule includes one open date for each team and conference contests scheduled each week beginning in Week 2.

Each SEC team will play eight conference football games to include six games against division opponents and two games against non-division opponents. One of the non-division opponents will be a permanent annual opponent and the other non-division opponent will rotate each year.

The season begins the weekend of September 5 with 14 games, including three neutral site games on opening weekend.
