Alabama practiced primarily after sundown on Wednesday, somewhat mitigating the effects of the August heat.

Defensive linemen DJ Dale (sprained knee) and Stephon Wynn (undisclosed injury) remained out of the practice, but sophomore LaBryan Ray was back, appearing to share reps with true freshman Justin Egboigbe at one defensive tackle spot along with other apparent first-unit linemen (there is no official depth chart) Phidarian Mathis and Raekwon Davis.

Terrell Lewis and Anfernee Jennings, who was wearing a sleeve brace on his knee, were the outside linebacker with Dylan Moses and Markail Benton on the inside. Sophomore Ale Kaho and freshman Shane Lee appeared to be the backups behind Moses and Benton.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban is scheduled to address the media after Thursday’s practice.
