If all goes as expected, Tua Tagovailoa is going to be a candidate for no shortage of postseason awards, especially the ones everyone knows.
The Peter Mortell Holder of the Year Award probably doesn’t make that list. But now that Tagovailoa is aware of it — thanks to long snapper Thomas Fletcher — he wouldn’t mind getting his hands on it.
“I didn’t know there was an award for holding, so that’s pretty cool,” Tagovailoa said through a smile. “I’ll try to work my way up to get my name out there for the holder award. But it’s pretty cool. Thomas Fletcher talked to me about there being an award for that so I’m working my butt off, trying to get it.”
