It was a fully padded, indoor practice for the University of Alabama today for the final media viewing period of Southern Miss week. UA coach Nick Saban will address the media after practice.
– Former Alabama great Jeremiah Castille was in the building today. As someone who grew up in the 2000s and was a student here in the early 2010s, it’s a little strange to not have a Castille on the roster these days.

– Personnel updates: no sighting of freshman defensive lineman Antonio Alfano, but outside linebacker Terrell Lewis was back. Lewis was not in the media viewing portion of practice yesterday. This looks to be nothing more than an extra day of recovery for a player with an unfortunate injury history.
– Speaking of outside linebackers, we saw a different Dime look today that included one: Anfernee Jennings. The defensive backs were unchanged from what would be expected given yesterday’s unit: Jared Mayden and Jordan Battle as the deep safeties with Trevon Diggs, Patrick Surtain II, Shyheim Carter and Xavier McKinney completing the group, but this was a two-linebacker setting with Jennings and Shane Lee. Jennings being on the field in Dime isn’t revelatory, he’s just normally part of UA’s usual four-man front that includes a linebacker.
