Alabama took its Wednesday open week practice indoors, today in full pads.
– Nose guard D.J. Dale was still not seen with the defensive linemen in position drills. Wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, much like yesterday, was fully dressed out but not participating in position drills.

– The tight ends did a drill working on quick in routes from an inline position, where they are in a three-point stance next to a tackle. It’s different because most of the quick stuff in this offense comes from the wide receivers as part of RPOs. Maybe it’s part of the pro-style passing concepts that offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian said would be included in this offense; maybe it’s just a bye week drill.
– Tom Rinaldi and an ESPN camera crew are in town for a story.
