No. 1-ranked Alabama came into its home game against Arkansas with some questions. Here is how it answered four.

1. Can Mac Jones handle the No. 1 role?

Yep. Jones didn’t have any issues against Arkansas — no interceptions and not taking sacks. In the first half he overthrew Jerry Jeudy for a sure touchdown but early in the third quarter he was on the money, hitting Jeudy for a 40-yard touchdown pass.

2. Punting issues resolved?

Ty Perine punted just twice Saturday, his first one for 49 yards in the second quarter. His only other punt was a 46-yard boot in the third quarter. Safe to say Alabama is pretty happy with how the walk-on has performed through two games.

3. More sacks for Alabama’s defense?

After back-to-back games with big sack numbers, Alabama was not able to get to Arkansas’ Nick Starkel in the first half. Shane Lee got the Crimson Tide’s lone sack in the third quarter on John Stephen Jones. Terrell Lewis did have six hurries, but couldn’t get a sack.

4. Another 100-yard day for Najee?

After back-to-back 100-yard efforts for Najee Harris, the Crimson Tide running back wasn’t able to make it three straight. He left in the third quarter with a twisted ankle and finished with 86 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns.
