An injury report as long as the University of Alabama’s makes for a noteworthy Tuesday afternoon workout.
– Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was not present. UA coach Nick Saban said he would return to practice midweek. Linebacker Ale Kaho (hand) was in a black non-contact jersey and had a cast over his right hand. Saban said he would be able to play with a cast.

– The list of players in shoulder pads but not participating in individual drills during the media viewing period: running back Najee Harris (ankle), center Landon Dickerson (groin) and left guard Evan Neal (knee). Chris Owens and Emil Ekiyor Jr. were running in their places as the first-team guard and center. Owens was wearing No. 79, not the 84 he wears when playing as a tight end.
– Defensive backs Shyheim Carter (knee) and Jared Mayden (groin) were limited participants. They warmed up with the defensive backs but did not participate in a tackling drill later in the viewing period. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith (shoulder) also participated, but did not appear to be at 100 percent effort.
