Rain brought the University of Alabama football team indoors for its Wednesday workout of the open week.
– Tua Tagovailoa was not spotted in the media viewing period. UA coach Nick Saban said on the SEC teleconference earlier today that Tagovailoa would return to practice today.
UPDATE: Saban addressed Tagovailoa in his post-practice press conference: “Tua took some snaps in practice today, did a few things on air. He was not involved in any team situations, and again, this is going to be a day by day, gameday decision. I can tell you his mentality has been really good in terms of how he’s working, the things that he’s and how he’s progressing and his attitude toward getting back on the field and trying to progress. That’s always a good sign.”
– Running back Najee Harris (ankle) and center Landon Dickerson (groin) were both spotted participating in position drills Wednesday, after not doing so on Tuesday. Saban classified both injuries as minor, thus their returns to practice at some point during the open week seemed inevitable.
– Linebacker Ale Kaho (broken hand) remains in the black non-contact jersey, but participating in drills.
