After losing to Alabama eight straight times you might could forgive LSU head coach Ed Orgeron for his passionate locker room talk after the No. 2 Tigers knocked off the No. 3 Crimson Tide on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Even if there were a few F-bombs thrown in.

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow torched the Crimson Tide for 393 yards and three touchdowns and the Tigers scored the most points against a Nick Saban coached team in the 46-41 win.

Orgeron addressed the media afterward and praised his team’s effort in a hostile Tuscaloosa environment and for not getting rattled when Alabama rallied in the second half.

“Great win for our team,” he said. “Obviously I’m very happy with how we played. It’s been a long time coming. We felt it all week, that we were the better football team. I said to our team on Monday, ‘We’re the better football team, but we have to play to prove it.’ We played.

In the locker room, Orgeron was a little more animated. A Tiger player recorded Orgeron’s postgame speech.

“We gonna beat their ass in recruiting,” Orgeron said. “We’re gonna beat their ass every time they see us. You understand that? Roll Tide what? F— You!”
