After a loss to LSU on Saturday, Alabama enters this week’s game with Mississippi State with several more questions that need answering. Here are four.
How motivated is Alabama?
The mood on Monday was not positive at all at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility. Alabama players were in no mood to answer questions two days after the LSU loss. With a playoff opportunity in limbo, will Alabama respond positively against Mississippi State or just lay down?
How well will Tua play?
Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa played the entire game against LSU just a few weeks after surgery on his ankle. He left the field limping and Nick Saban said Monday that the Alabama QB will did not further injure himself and will be managed his soreness this week.
Can the defense bounce back?
Alabama missed 25 tackles against LSU and a allowed a season high 559 yards, not typical of a Crimson Tide defense. Mississippi State’s Kylin Hill leads the SEC with 1,027 rushing yards so the Crimson Tide will have a big task this weekend on the road.
Najee Harris or Kaylin Hill?
The Mississippi State Bulldogs’ Hill has been tough to stop this season and Alabama’s Harris has come on strong with three 100-yard efforts in three of his last four games. So which one will win Saturday’s battle?
