The University of Alabama football team placed 11 players on the Associated Press’ All-SEC team, five on the first team and six on the second team, released on Monday. The SEC coaches’ released their selections on Tuesday and featured 14 Crimson Tide players, six on the first team and eight on the second.

The five honored for the AP’s first team were: offensive lineman Jedrick Wills Jr., wide receiver DeVonta Smith, linebacker Anfernee Jennings, cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Xavier McKinney. Wills, Jennings and McKinney were also first-team selections for the coaches, joining offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and return specialist Jaylen Waddle.

Waddle was a second-team all-purpose player on the AP team and Leatherwood was a second-team offensive lineman on the AP team. Smith was a first-teamer for the AP but second-teamer for the coaches.

The second team honorees on the AP team, alongside Waddle and Leatherwood: quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, running back Najee Harris, offensive lineman Landon Dickerson and Jeudy.

Dickerson, Tagovailoa and Harris were all second-teamers for the coaches, as well, joining Smith, outside linebacker Terrell Lewis and  defensive lineman Raekwon Davis. Neither Lewis nor Davis were named on the AP team, but got second-team honors from the coaches.

Diggs was a first-teamer with the AP but not named a second-teamer with the coaches.
