Of the 30 University of Alabama athletes receiving degrees in this weekend’s graduation ceremonies, 15 are active football players and one is a former Major League Baseball manager.

The 15 football players graduating this weekend: Raekwon Davis, Trevon Diggs, Anfernee Jennings and Terrell Lewis along with Ben Davis, Mac Hereford, Jalen Jackson, Mac Jones, Sean Kelly, Scott Lashley, Jared Mayden, Joshua McMillon, Tevita Musika, Tyrell Shavers and Taylor Wilson.

This is Jennings’ second undergraduate degree, after getting a degree in human performance exercise science in December 2018. This degree in in public health.

The former MLB manager graduating from Alabama is Butch Hobson, a former UA football and baseball player in the 1970s. He managed the Boston Red Sox for three years and was named to UA’s All-Century baseball team in 1993.

The other athletes graduating this weekend: Will Herrscher, Keitavious Walter, Tamara Moncrieffe and Stacey Destin (track and field); Mazen Osama (men’s tennis); Alex Pavin, Taylor Hubbard, Kaley Verpaele and Chloe Maize (soccer); Raien Emery (rowing); Kyle Cameron (baseball); Sarah Helm (swimming and diving); and Madi Moore (softball).
