Alabama has a Citrus Bowl matchup with Michigan on Wednesday. Here are four questions the Crimson Tide needs to answer for its season finale.
- Will Alabama run wild on Michigan?
In six games Michigan’s defense has surrendered less than 100 yards rushing. Alabama has run for more than 100 yards in all but one game and reached 200-plus yards in just two games.
- Will the Alabama defense miss Lewis, Diggs?
Alabama starters Terrell Lewis (linebacker) and Trevon Diggs (cornerback) opted not to play in the game and focus on getting ready for the NFL Draft. It will be up to sophomores Christopher Allen (LB) and Josh Jobe (CB) to step in.
- More success vs. the Big Ten?
Alabama’s done pretty well against Big Ten teams in the Nick Saban era (6-1) with the only loss coming against Ohio State. Alabama beat Michigan in the 2012 season opener.
- Which QB will have the better performance?
Alabama’s Mac Jones is 1-1 as a starter while Shea Patterson has 35 starts to his credit. Jones is coming off an Auburn loss where he threw two pick-sixes and Patterson should be motivated to end his college career on top.
