A former Alabama running back has landed in the American Athletic Conference.
Jerome Ford, the redshirt freshman running back from Seffner, Florida, announced on Twitter that he will transfer to Cincinnati. He was in the transfer portal for all of a week, after entering on Jan. 8. He ran 24 times for 114 yards and three touchdowns in 2019.
The path to playing time at UA was going to be an uphill climb for Ford, with Brian Robinson Jr. and Keilan Robinson certain to return, and the potential that Najee Harris joins them. Trey Sanders will be returning from his foot injury in addition to three freshmen in the 2020 recruiting class: Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams and Kyle Edwards.
