At long last, Alabama has an offensive lineman in its 2021 recruiting class.

JC Latham, a five-star lineman out of IMG Academy, chose Alabama over nearly every top recruiter, including LSU, Ohio State and others. He is the seventh commit in UA’s 2021 class to date, the first at an offensive position other than wide receiver.

Latham is a top 20 prospect at any position in the 247 Sports Composite, a top five offensive lineman in the nation and a top five prospect at any position in the state of Florida.

Latham immediately became the highest rated prospect in UA’s class, ahead of two four-star wide receivers (Jacorey Brooks and Agiye Hall) who are also top 100 prospects.

UA needed to land a player such as Latham because highly rated uncommitted offensive line prospects are few and far between at this point in the class of 2021. UA is still involved in the recruitment of Tommy and James Brockermeyer, twins from Fort Worth, Texas. Amarius Mims is another prospect worth following for UA’s recruiting purposes.
