Former Alabama linebacker Christian Miller was selected by the Carolina Panthers on Saturday in the fourth round of the NFL Draft in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 6-foot-4, 244-pound pass rusher was taken No. 13 in the fourth round and 115th overall.

He played a key role on the Tide defense last season after missing much of the 2017 season with an arm injury. He totaled 36 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks with a team-high tying 12 quarterback hurries. He also had one pass breakup and a fumble
Miller was selected as SEC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against Ole Miss, where he set a career-high mark for sacks with 2.5 as part of his five tackles against the Rebels. He was named one of the coaching staff’s defensive players of the week following the Ole Miss, Louisiana, Missouri and LSU.
His 2018 season was cut short after suffering a leg injury on the first drive of the second half in the College Football Championship semifinal game against Oklahoma. He finished that game with one sack.
