Five former Alabama players have signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents.
Central High School product Lester Cotton signed with the Oakland Raiders. Cotton started 10 games at Alabama at guard during his senior season in 2018. He finished his career with 28 total starts.
Cornerback Saivion Smith, who declared for the draft rather than return to school for his senior season in 2019, signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars after not being selected in the draft. Smith spent only one season in Tuscaloosa, starting 12 games at cornerback. He finished sixth on the team with 60 tackles and led the team with three interceptions.
Outside linebacker Jamey Mosley was signed by the New York Jets. His older brother, former Alabama inside linebacker C.J. Mosley, signed a five-year, $85 million contract with the Jets this offseason. Jamey Mosley played in 14 games for Alabama as a senior with eight tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack. He began his career in Tuscaloosa as a walk-on before earning a scholarship.
Tight end Hale Hentges, a captain for Alabama in 2018, signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Hentges had four catches for 34 yards and three touchdowns during his senior season.
Defensive lineman Johnny Dwight signed with the Houston Texans. Dwight played in 11 games for Alabama, posting six tackles and one tackle for loss.
Alabama had 10 total players chosen in the 2019 NFL draft, the most of any school in the nation. The SEC’s 64 total players was the most for a conference.
