The University of Alabama landed another football commitment on Monday when offensive lineman Jarrett Bell from Norco (California) High School picked the Crimson Tide over Arizona, Washington State and other schools.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman is projected to play center in college. He had a strong showing at UA’s summer camp and earned a scholarship offer. He was also the offensive lineman MVP at Southern Cal’s summer camp.
Bell is rated as a 4-star prospect by Rivals.com and a 3-star by Scout. According to the 247Sports composite ranking, he is the No. 24 guard in the 2018 class and the No. 58 overall recruit from California. He previously played mostly on the defensive line and may see his ranking rise as he concentrates on offense in the coming season. He has bench pressed 365 pounds, squatted 525 and power cleaned 315 pounds.
