Drew Sanders, a top 50 national football prospect who had been committed to Oklahoma for more than a year, said on social media Monday night he had changed his commitment to the University of Alabama.
The 6-foot-5, 222-pound Sanders, from Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, visited Tuscaloosa last weekend. He said via his Twitter account Monday he was now 100 percent committed to Alabama.
“My recruiting is 100% over. I will be playing football and attending the University of Alabama!! #RollTide”

The 247 Composite recruiting rankings list Sanders as the No. 34 prospect in America and the No. 4 prospect in talent-rich Texas. He has experience at a number of positions, including quarterback and tight end, although many projections see him as an outside linebacker on defense.
Alabama currently has 16 players committed to its 2020 class, which can sign with the school beginning in December.
