It was the first day of the fall semester at Alabama, as the team worked outside in preparations for its Sept. 2 game against Florida State. The temperature was 89 with a feels-like of 97. Here is what I saw during the media viewing period.
Outside linebackers
Christian Miller appeared to be a little limited and had his left calve wrapped. Anfernee Jennings led the drills followed by Jamey Mosley, Terell Lewis, Mekhi Brown, Vandarius Cowan, Ben Davis and Miller at the end.
Defensive line
The unit worked in groups of four and there was no changes. Da’Shawn Hand, Da’Ron Payne, Josh Frazier and Raekwon Davis comprised the first group. Isaiah Buggs, Jamar King, Johnny Dwight and Quinnen Williams were in the second group.
Offensive line
Matt Womack was at right tackle with the first organizational grouping, which remained the same group of Jonah Williams, Ross Pierschbacher, Bradley Bozeman and Lester Cotton.
Running backs
Josh Jacbos was dressed out and with the backs but he appeared a little gimpy and did not go through the drills during the media viewing period.
