Alabama football was going through a standard Tuesday practice in full pads today before Saturday’s game against Colorado State. The Crimson Tide was working inside with another rainy day in Tuscaloosa.
Offensive line
After seeing Jedrick Wills play right tackle and Matt Womack right guard at practice yesterday with Lester Cotton out, there was a little bit of uncertainty today. Cotton was back and working with the first team offensive line during individual drills, but during a later period in practice, it was back to the same alignment we saw on Monday. Wills was back at right tackle and Womack at right guard. Will check on that again tomorrow.
Linebackers
I did not see Dylan Moses during the viewing period today after seeing him in black yesterday. Rashaan Evans continued to work on rehab with head trainer Jeff Allen off to the side, but Anfernee Jennings was not there.
Later, during Alabama’s nickel drill, Mack Wilson spent some time shadowing Shaun Dion Hamilton at the MIKE position.
Scout team outlook
Tyrell Shavers was wearing jersey No. 4 to imitate Colorado State’s top receiver, Michael Gallup. Sophomore walk-on Mac Hereford was wearing No. 81 to imitate their second receiver, Olabisi Johnson.
Gallup (6-1/200) had 76 catches for 1,272 yards and 14 touchdowns last year, while Olabisi Johnson has 14 catches for 220 yards so far this year.
Other updates
Wide receivers coach Mike Locksley returned to practice today after spending yesterday with family following the death of his son.
Running back Josh Jacobs continued to practice.
