Alabama was practicing outside in full pads today on its third day of preparation for Saturday’s game against Tennessee.
- Looks like Alabama is in good shape health-wise for Saturday. Da’Shawn Hand (knee) has not practiced this week and looks like he’ll be out but the rest of the players appeared to be participating.
- That includes linebacker Keith Holcombe, who was taking some reps with the second team in Alabama’s nickel package.
- Sophomore Mack Wilson was working with the starters during the nickel and dime portions of practice. Rashaan Evans and Shaun Dion Hamilton were doing another drill focused on the front seven.
- Speaking of the front seven, Tosh Lupoi was pushing his position group to give players a good scout look at Tennessee during one drill. He told the player holding the blocking pad to “Stay in there, hunker down, and give them a look” instead of backing off when the outside linebackers came.
- The Atlanta Falcons had a scout at practice today.
