Alabama punter JK Scott and safety Ronnie Harrison were named SEC players of the week.
Scott, named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week, averaged 51.6 yards per punt, totaling 413 yards on eight punts. Seven of his punts were dropped inside the LSU 20-yard line. Five of his punts were fair caught and two were downed by the Crimson Tide.
Harrison, named SEC co-Defensive Player of the Week, had an interception, six tackles and half a sack against the LSU in the Crimson Tide’s 24-10 win Saturday night.
The Alabama coaches named quarterback Jalen Hurts and tight end Irv Smith Jr. as its offensive players of the week. Linebacker Rashaan Evans, defensive tackle Da’Ron Payne and Harrison were named defensive players of the week.
The special teams players of the week were Scott, Keaton Anderson, Thomas Fletcher and Keith Holcombe.
