Alabama running back Damien Harris reached a major milestone with his seventh carry against Mississippi State on Saturday.
Harris has now rushed for 2,015 yards in his career. He passed the 2,000-yard marker with a 15-yard carry.
There have been 20 runners with 2,000 career yards at Alabama including Harris. Derrick Henry, a teammate of Harris in 2015, is the all-time leader with 3,591 yards. Shaun Alexander rushed for 3,880 yards in his career, but that total includes bowl games which weren’t counted in official NCAA statistics at the time.
He rushed for 157 yards as a freshman, 1,037 as a sophomore and entered today with 1,924 career yards.
