Wide receiver Calvin Ridley and quarterback Jalen Hurts both had some milestone moments in the first half of Alabama’s game against Mercer on Saturday.

Ridley passed Julio Jones on Alabama’s all-time receiving yards list. Then he passed Ozzie Newsome on the all-time receiving touchdown list.

Ridley finished the first half with 3 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown. He appeared to be finished for the day before halftime.

Ridley now has 2,672 career receiving yards, passing Jones’ 2,653 for third place on the all-time list. His 17th career touchdown pass also moved him ahead of Newsome and tied him for third place on the all-time receiving touchdown list.
