Alabama led the conference with eight first-team All-SEC picks as chosen by the media. The Crimson Tide had four players on both the offense and defense’s AP All-SEC teams. Three more players checked in on the second team.

Alabama’s 11 overall players across the two teams also was the most in the conference. No other school had more than six players honored.

Junior wide Calvin Ridley, sophomore left tackle Jonah Williams, junior right guard Ross Pierschbacher and senior center Bradley Bozeman were chosen on offense.

Defensive tackle Da’Ron Payne, linebacker Rashaan Evans, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and safety Ronnie Harrison were first-team on defense.

Defensive lineman Raekwon Davis, cornerback Levi Wallace and punter JK Scott were the second team selections.

Former Alabama assistant Kirby Smart was named the conference coach of the year.
