The team worked at the Mercedes Benz Superdome on Saturday. There wasn’t much to see because the viewing period included mostly stretching, but here is what I saw.

New defensive assistant coach for 2018 Pete Golding was hanging around on the sidelines during practiced. I talked to him earlier in the day at the Media Day. I’ve heard his personality is fitting in well with the coaching staff.

The inside linebackers worked closest to the media portion of the field. Rashaan Evans led the group with Joshua McMillon, Markail Benton, Vandarius Cowan, and Mack Wilson. Wilson is always floating around the back of the line, but he looks fine and is moving without issue.

Freshman defensive lineman LaBryan Ray was working with the defensive line. He sustained a foot injury near the end of the regular season. Earlier this week, Da’Ron Payne said he’s looked good during practice.

The head coaches have a press conference Sunday morning to conclude media access for the week.
