Here are the final football practice notes for Alabama’s 2017 season. The Crimson Tide was practicing inside at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Georgia had first pick on where to practice and chose to go back to Athens after media day this morning.

This would be a Thursday practice in a normal game week. Alabama was in shorts and shoulder pads.

  • Minkah Fitzpatrick was dressed out and leading the team through stretches. He was a little limited during the contact drills to start practice but that looked like just a precaution. He’s expected to play.
  • Nick Saban did rule both Anfernee Jennings and Lester Cotton out this morning. Neither was at practice.
  • Damien Harris and Josh Jacobs were also dressed out. I didn’t get to see if they were limited, as we only saw one period of drills.
  • LaBryan Ray was practicing with the third string defensive line.
  • Dylan Moses and Miller Forristall both were on the exercise bike in black jerseys. They’re out, obviously.
  • New defensive assistant Pete Golding continued to watch the inside linebackers. This is the final practice for Jeremy Pruitt before he’s off to Tennessee.
  • The outside linebackers were led through drills by Christian Miller, Jamey Mosley and Terrell Lewis. I’d expect them to see the bulk if the OLB snaps on Monday.

That’s all. Thanks for reading. See you next season.
