Major Tennison was arrested on on a second-degree marijuana charge.

Little information has been released in the arrest of an Alabama football player charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Major Tennison was jailed Wednesday on a second-degree marijuana charge, according to Tuscaloosa County Jail Records.

An incident report provided to The Tuscaloosa News by the University of Alabama indicates a UAPD officer made contact with Tennison at 11:25 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Devotie Drive, near Bryant Hall.

Tennison was a freshman tight end for Alabama in the fall. He played in five games and finished the season with two catches for 30 yards.
