Alabama football had seven total players named to The Sporting News’ 2019 Preseason All-America list. The seven total selections were the most from any one school with the group consisting of two first-teamers and five second-team honorees.
Juniors Jerry Jeudy (wide receiver) and Dylan Moses (linebacker) were selected to outlet’s first team.
Tua Tagovailoa was a second-team selection at quarterback. Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence was the first-team pick.
Also on the second team from UA was Alex Leatherwood (tackle), senior Raekwon Davis (defensive line), redshirt senior Anfernee Jennings (linebacker) and junior Xavier McKinney (defensive back).
Alabama’s seven players are the most selected from any team with Clemson coming in second at five. The SEC has the most first-team selections with eight, followed by the Big Ten with seven.
