For the second time, Eyabi Anoma put his name into the NCAA transfer portal. The Alabama linebacker was not enrolled for the fall semester.

The five-star recruit from Baltimore, Maryland, participated in spring practice and recorded three tackles and a sack in the A-Day game in April. He had put his name in the transfer portal in February but quickly withdrew 24 hours later.

Anoma, a sophomore, was one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2018 class. He appeared in 12 games as a freshman, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors from the league coaches. He registered nine tackles on the season, including two for a loss while adding one quarterback hurry.

In a statement earlier this week by Monica Watts, UA Associate Vice President for Communications, told Tidesports that “Eyabi Anoma is currently not attending classes at The University of Alabama.”

Anoma played in 12 games and had nine tackles with two tackles for loss in 2018. He was a five-star recruit ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the nation in the class of 2018.
