Several notes from both lines of scrimmage from Monday’s outdoor practice.

– Freshman defensive end Justin Eboigbe (foot) was participating in the media viewing period. He missed both the Duke and New Mexico State games with that injury, but his return is in line with the timetable Saban provided last week. He slid right into the spot previously occupied by LaBryan Ray, the starting defensive end, who was present but not participating in the drills media was allowed to see.

– Also on the defensive line, freshman Antonio Alfano was not seen in practice. UA coach Nick Saban said after the New Mexico State game that Alfano was, “going through some discipline things from me.”

– On the offensive line, Chris Owens was practicing. He missed the New Mexico State game with an undisclosed injury.

– Safety Xavier McKinney continues to have less padding on his injured left thumb. It was a full-on club last Monday and downgraded to casts throughout the week before he played in the New Mexico State game; in Monday’s practice, it was just some extra tape over the hand, nothing further down the wrist.
