– Markail Benton was the lone linebacker in Alabama’s Dime package when it went to 7-on-7 periods in Wednesday’s practice. Shane Lee and Christian Harris also got reps in pass packages, but with the starting Dime group, Benton was the choice.
– Kendall Randolph has been getting some reps at right guard. He was originally an offensive linemen given a hybrid tight end role, like the one Brandon Greene occupied in 2014. He has been most often used as a tight end in recent games, but there is still a path to offensive line playing time for him.
– The defensive line and outside linebackers paired up for some pass rush work in a drill, and the first line up featured Raekwon Davis and Christian Barmore as the defensive linemen with Terrell Lewis and Anfernee Jennings around them. A later unit had Tevita Musika and Justin Eboigbe as the defensive linemen with Jarez Parks and Ben Davis around them.
