The right tackle from Lexington, Kentucky, will skip his senior season to be eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft. The Athletic’s mock draft on Dec. 4 had Wills as the No. 3 overall pick.
Wills entered the program as a four-star prospect, the top player in the state of Kentucky and a top 40 prospect in the nation in the 247 Sports Composite. Wills did not disappoint, ultimately starting 29 games and earning numerous preseason and midseason All-American honors as a junior.
UA is also losing senior reserve Matt Womack, who has been listed as a backup tackle at times, but returns Scott Lashley for his senior season and Tommy Brown for his sophomore season. UA also has the option to move versatile options such as Evan Neal and Landon Dickerson out to a tackle spot, if it so chooses, in its effort to find a starter alongside Alex Leatherwood, the left tackle who elected to return for his senior season.
