The Trey Jemison commitment to Clemson didn’t come as a surprise. That’s probably an indicator that Alabama feels good about its top post target, Javian Fleming of Canton, Miss. CAJ has indicated that UA would sign two guys early and with Jared Butler committed, Fleming makes sense. Georgetown is working him hard but it’s fair to say Alabama leads.

Jemison is a young man who may not be a star — he is mechanical on offense — but will get minutes. He’s likely to measure out at 6-11 next year. Good luck to him in the ACC.

What happens next depends on several variables. Two seniors (Riley and ArMond) but no one would be surprised if as many as three players leave early for professional basketball. (More? Not impossible) If that’s the attrition number, Alabama would try to sign two more in the spring and get into the grad transfer market as well. It’s crazy to even begin to guess at a starting lineup for 2018-19 although I’d say Tevin Mack would be in there. The goal for 2019 recruiting is to have another grand slam recruiting class built around Trendon Watford and Kira Lewis. CAJ won’t talk about but UA is facing a lot of negative recruiting right now based on the FBI thing. Doesn’t mean anyone “knows” anything, just that if your name was mentioned, recruiting rivals will use it.

Good information,Cecil. I’m hopeful we can land Woodard in the spring.
