No. 1 Alabama comes into Saturday’s top-25 matchup with No. 24 Texas A&M with some questions that need answers. Here are four of them.

1 Can the Aggies slow down Tua?

The least number of yards (227) and touchdowns (3) Tua Tagovailoa has this season came against New Mexico State. He played just over two quarters in that game, however. Texas A&M have done a pretty good job with pass defense (191 yards, 5 TDs) but will have to rattle Tua early and use the 12th Man to its advantage.

2. Can Alabama make tackles on the perimeter?

Alabama’s defense wasn’t able to contain Ole Miss on the edge, particularly QB John Rhys Plumlee. It was an issue Tide coach Nick Saban emphasized after the game. Texas A&M could try to exploit that weak spot this week to see just how much Alabama worked on its containment issue.

3. Return of Reichard?

Alabama kicker Will Reichard has been sidelined with a pulled hip flexor since the Southern Miss game three weeks ago. The off week should have helped him with recovery time and Nick Saban said he will kick for the first time this week since the injury.

4. Under 100 for Bama’s Big 3?

Crimson Tide receivers DeVonta Smith (537 yards), Henry Ruggs (488) and Henry Ruggs (361) are ranked second, third and ninth, respectively, in the SEC in receiving yards. Alabama has had a 100-yard receiver in every game so far, twice by Jeudy and Smith. Trying to prevent that from happening Saturday is a difficult task for A&M.
