PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The University of Alabama women’s golf team shot a three-over par 287 in the final round on Tuesday to finish fifth at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at the par-71, 6,017-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
The Crimson Tide women finished the tournament at 15-over par (296-284-287/867). USC won the tournament, finishing four-over par (285-282-289/856), followed by Arizona State (857), Duke (859) and Florida (860).
Alabama’s top finisher was Lauren Stephenson. She finished in a tie at fifth at 3-under (72-67-73/212). Cheyenne Knight tied for 17th at 5-over (75-73-70/218). Kristen Gillman tied for 24th at 6-over par (76-73-70/219). Lakareber Abe tied for 45th at 10-over (78-71-74/223), and Northport’s Cammie Gray tied for 72nd at 17-over (73-79-78/230).
