ATHENS, Ga. – Alabama swimming and diving closed out the Bulldog Invitational with a win in the 1,650 freestyle and several career-best times.

Freshman Daniel Kober won the men’s 1,650 freestyle by more than six seconds after clocking a 15.09.02.

Senior Alex Gray touched the wall in a time of 43.74 to take second place in the men’s 100 freestyle. Freshman Kyle Maas posted a 1:44.95 to take second in the men’s 200 backstroke after posting a 1:44.31 in prelims. Maas’ prelims time ranks him sixth all-time at Alabama.

Sophomore Sarah Helm took third in the women’s 200 backstroke with a time of 2:01.12. In prelims, sophomore Katie Coughlin posted a 1:58.57 in the 200 backstroke.

Juniors Will Freeman and Taylor Charles took third and fourth, respectively in the men’s 200 butterfly. Freeman posted a 1:43.89 while Charles touched the wall with a 1:44.67, which were both career-best times. Freeman’s mark ranks him fourth all-time at Alabama while Charles’ time ranks him sixth all-time.
