The University of Alabama men’s golf team earned the No. 6 seed in the 2017 NCAA Men’s Golf Regional which will be held in Sammamish, Wash., May 15-17 at the Aldarra Golf Course. The teams for the six NCAA regionals were announced on Thursday.
The 14-team regional features No. 1 seed and the nation’s top-ranked team, USC. Kent State, ranked No. 12, is the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 seed and 13th-ranked Texas A&M, No. 4 seed Florida State, No. 5 Washington, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 San Diego State, No. 8 UTEP, No. 9 Penn State, No. 10 Michigan, No. 11 Michigan State, No. 12 Seattle, No. 13 Marquette and No. 14 Bryant.
From each regional, the top five teams and top individual from a team that did not advance move on to the NCAA Men’s Golf National Championships in Sugar Grove, Ill., on May 26-31. That field features 30 teams and six individuals.
It marks the Crimson Tide’s 13th consecutive postseason appearance and 21st overall. Alabama has won four NCAA regional championships, three in the last five years.
