OKLAHOMA CITY – Alexis Osorio earned first-team All-America honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, making her a two-time selection for the University of Alabama softball team. The NFCA released its All-America teams on Wednesday.

The junior from Riverside, California, was second-team honoree as a freshman. Alabama has now has had at least one All-American each year since 1998, with 53 total awards.

Osorio won 23 games with a 1.21 ERA and 334 strikeouts, averaging 1.65 strikeouts per inning. She had four games with 18 or more strikeouts and also threw the fourth perfect game in Crimson Tide history.

Osorio allowed just two runs with 29 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings in NCAA Tournament Play, with those outings coming against top-ranked Minnesota and top-seeded Florida.
